About us

The Institute of Conservative Politics (IPC) emerges as a response to the urgent need to strengthen conservative thought in Portugal. The IPC aims to fill this gap, acting as a space for articulation, research and dissemination of conservative ideas, collaborating with national and international partners to strengthen a more efficient governance model aligned with the values of the European right.

Strengthening conservative thought in Portugal

Currently, Portugal lacks a genuinely conservative think tank that can influence public policies and ideological debate based on data, studies and solid arguments. The IPC aims to meet this need by offering an intellectual counterpoint to prevailing thinking and promoting policy solutions based on principles such as: Reduction of the State and defense of the market economy; Rescue of national and cultural identity in the face of globalist pressures; Strengthening national sovereignty in the European context; Appreciation of tradition and fundamental values of Western civilization; Defense of security and order as bases for economic and social development.
